Mesotrophe
alienaria Walker comb. n.
Anisodes alienaria Walker,
1862, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 26: 1586.
Diagnosis. The fasciae are very broad, grey, irregular, running
into each other. The species could possibly be confused with Perixera
sarawackaria Guenée, but the fasciation contrasts more with
the paler fawn ground colour in the latter, and the underside is paler with much
finer fasciation, particularly the postmedial.
Geographical range. Borneo,
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. No
material has been taken in recent surveys. Older material is from lowland
localities.
