13mm. This species is slightly larger than duplicilinea, with a blacker forewing and more extensive white marking submarginally; the reniform is picked out with white and is broader, squarer, less oblique than in duplicilinea. The white fleck at the tornus of the hindwing is relatively more prominent. In the female genitalia the bursa copulatrix is relatively very much smaller than in duplicilinea and more finely scobinate.

Holotype . SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D. Holloway et al.), BM 1978-206, Site 23, April, W. Melinau Gorge, 270m, 430558, FEG 4, limestone forest, MV - canopy/understorey, BM noctuid slide 10971.

Paratype . General data as holotype but Site 25, April, G. Api, 900m, 427550, lower montane forest, MV and Act.

Geographical range. Borneo, W. Sulawesi (Koelawi Paloe, 1000m).

Habitat preference. Both Bornean specimens were taken on limestone.
