Savoca conglobalis

Diagnosis.
The characters of male and female genitalia that distinguish this species from similar congeners have been mentioned under divitalis below. It is smaller with more contrasty forewings than either divitalis or yucca, tending towards triangulifera sp. n. in appearance.

Taxonomic note. In New Guinea there flies a race with male genitalia (slide 11439) having the ventral process of the uncus and the subbasal costal process to the valve larger than in the typical race.

Geographical range. Borneo, Singapore; New Guinea.

Habitat preference. Only four specimens have been taken recently, all on the Mulu survey. One was taken in lowland alluvial forest, two in upper montane forest on G. Mulu and one in lower montane forest on G. Api.
