Lophoptera negretinoides sp. n.

Lophoptera negretinoides

14-15mm. This species resembles the N.E. Himalayan L. negretina Hampson (represented by the holotype only), and differs from phaeobasis in having the hyaline zone of the hindwing obscured and the medial and postmedial of the hindwing below delineated clearly and narrowly with an angle one third from the costa; in phaeobasis the lines are more obscure, broken. The species differs from negretina in the female genitalia, having broader, more rounded lobes just posterior to the ostium; the lamella antevaginalis is developed into lateral setose zones that diverge posteriorly. The male genitalia have the valves apically square, constricted slightly subapically.
