Sigmuncus albigrisea

Diagnosis.
This species resembles females of the next in forewing marking but is much larger with the forewing ground colour a warm grey rather than fawn. Gyrtona eusema Prout is also somewhat similar but has narrower forewings with the basal and subapical costal areas not so conspicuously dark.

Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Taiwan, Borneo.

Habitat preference. The only two Bornean examples were taken just above 1600m on G. Kinabalu at the lower edge of a zone of tall upper montane forest.
