Plagiograpta pseudocondensa sp. n.

Plagiograpta pseudocondensa
(holotype)

10mm. See the previous species. The facies is similar to that of
condensa Kobes (Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Sulawesi, New Guinea), but the longitudinal white streak of the forewing is more regular, lacking the two excavations in its posterior edge seen in condensa. The male genitalia have a dense rhomboidal zone of hair bases at the centre of the dorsal part of the valve as in macrodonta and gertae, rather than the more diffuse and elongate zone seen in condensa. The setal bases on the sacculus are larger but less densely packed than in condensa; the more basal patch is broader, shorter, less oblique, and there is a third, more distal, weakly oblique patch not seen in condensa. The socius-like structures of the scaphium are not as broad as in condensa.

Holotype . SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D.Holloway et al.), Site 27, April, G. Api, 1500m, Pandanus Camp, 429451, scrub, Pandanus, BM noctuid slide 17405.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The only specimen is from an area of montane scrub with much Pandanus at 1500m on the limestone G. Api in Sarawak.
