Cossedia kobesi sp. n.

Cossedia kobesi
(holotype)

13mm. The facies is similar to that of the previous two species, but the grey areas are fainter and pinker and the yellow areas brighter than in either; the strongly curved basal part of the forewing costa is broadly rich rufous brown, as is the corresponding part of the thorax, and the same tinge occurs in some of the more basal marks on the dorsum. The yellow areas are somewhat expanded relative to the grey ones in the centre of the forewing, and the marginal grey of the hindwing is very faint. The genitalia are similar to those of the previous two species but the cornutus at the apex of the aedeagus vesica is slightly larger.

Holotype . BRUNEI: 350m, Ulu Temburong, LP283, 15.x.1978 (T.W. Harman), BM noctuid slide 17402.

Geographical range. Borneo, ?Sumatra.

Habitat preference. The only specimen is from hill dipterocarp forest at 350m.
