Amata expandens


Diagnosis.
This is one of a group of species with a series of single transparent patches in most of the spaces exterior to the cell. The black margins of both wings are more extensive in this species than in the next two.

Taxonomic notes. This species has been placed in Ceryx Wallengren (e.g. by Seitz (1912) but has male genitalia typical of Amata (see figures).

Geographical range. Sundaland.

Habitat preference. The species is probably found in the lowlands.
