Lyclene poring sp.
n.
6mm. This species is smaller
than the previous two with even finer forewing markings on a paler yellow
ground. The longitudinal streaks are distinctly shorter, and the margin is
completely and evenly edged with the dark colour. In the genitalia the valves
are slightly upcurved, broadening to a rounded apex; the saccular process also
ends well short of the apex.
Holotype SABAH:
Poring, 1800ft., E. of Mt. Kinabalu, 20-23.i. 1976 (E. W. Classey), BM
arctiid slide 5208.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The
locality is in an area of disturbed lowland forest.
