Diagnosis. The forewing facies is unmistakable.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo,
Sumatra.
Habitat preference. During the Mulu survey the species was taken once in
hill dipterocarp forest at 500m on G. Mulu, twice in wet heath forest (kerangas)
in a lowland (150m) river terrace and thrice at 900m in lower montane forest on
the limestone G. Api. In Brunei the species has been taken infrequently in hill
dipterocarp forest, dry heath forest, swamp forest and mangrove.
Biology. The species has been reared from Cocos in Thailand.
