8-9mm,
slightly smaller than the congener. The two species are very similar in facies,
though the brown ring on the forewing is perhaps more irregular in this species.
The main distinction is in the male genitalia. In trifurca the uncus apex
is trifid, the transtilla lobes are large, broad, the processes from the
vinculum are one third the length of the valve, apically bifid, and the apical
spine on the aedeagus is slender, bifid, directed laterally.

Three further specimens have not been dissected but are tentatively
identified as this species.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The specimens have been taken either in wet heath
forest on river terraces or in hill dipterocarp forest at low altitude.
