Diagnosis. The reddish orange and grey facies is distinctive, the former colour
predominating over the distal three quarters of the hindwing, which has a pale
discal dot, but virtually restricted to the strongly curved postmedial and
angled antemedial on the forewing.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. All four specimens taken in recent surveys are from
lowland forest: in kerangas and on limestone, during the Mulu survey; at Labi in
Brunei; at the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah.
