11mm, putative
10mm. In colouration this species resembles the previous
two, the wings reddish grey with yellow margin, except the margins are rounded
without a central dentation of the darker area. Discal spots are very weak but
the forewing is diagnostically traversed by fine, dark, straight antemedial and
postmedial fasciae, slightly convergent towards the costa. The putative female
is greyer, the fasciae were strongly convergent. The male genitalia are
distinctive with a square uncus and strikingly sigmoid valve spines that have a
lateral spur as in C. conversata and C. porphyrochlamys.
Holotype Temburong,
LP 298, 300 metres, BRUNEI: 21.ii.1982 (T. W. Harman) BM geometrid slide
18323.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The holotype is from lowland dipterocarp forest. The
putative female was taken in a Paraserianthes falcataria plantation at
Brumas in the lowlands of Sabah by Dr. Chey Vun Khen (in FRC, Sepilok).
