Diagnosis. The pale golden yellow ground colour and vinous brown markings of the
forewing are diagnostic.
Taxonomic notes. The species was compared with P. viridata Warren comb. n.
(Peninsular Malaysia, with subspecies from Sulawesi to New Guinea) by Holloway
(1976). This has green ground colour to the forewings. The genitalia have the
valve costa more bowed and the aedeagus shorter, deeper.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. All records are from G. Kinabalu, 17 specimens
distributed more or less evenly over samples from 1930m, 2110m and 2600m.
