Collix sp. 18718
Collix sp. 18718 (holotype) |
|
A single rather worn male (13mm) of a possible new species was taken at
300m on G. Santubong near Kuching in Sarawak. The facies is much as in ghosha
or rufidorsata but more contrasted, less grey-brown. The underside is
similar to that of rufidorsata but the fasciae are more broken, punctate.
The coremata in the abdomen are small as in those species, but the genitalia
have distinctive features, particularly the arc of setae running basad from the
valve apex. This is more developed in C. examplata Warren (New Guinea,
Seram) but this is a larger species with the more basal pair of coremata in the
abdomen well developed.
