Diagnosis. This is the largest Bornean Gymnoscelis, distinguished easily by
the contrasting pale hindwing and brown forewings, though the latter also
have pale areas broadly across the dorsum and basally.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference. Only the holotype was known from Borneo, a male from
1700m on G. Kinabalu. Further material from 1200m (Kundasang) was viewed
in 1997 in Colln Herbulot.
