Eois
ephyrata Walker
Acidalia ephyrata Walker, 1863, List Specimens lepid. Insects
Colln Br. Mus., 26: 1608.
Diagnosis. The facies is similar to that in pallidula but generally more
ochreous, darker, with a weakly paler band postmedially on the forewing. The
male abdomen is characterised by paired apodemes on the eighth segment and long
coremata from the valve costa base, itself strongly angled and reinforced by
narrow bands. The female has a signum typical of subgenus Psilocambogia but
there are no supplementary zones of spines (a small transverse one basal to the
signum in pallidula).
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. All recent material is from low elevation dipterocarp
forest on limestone.
