Diagnosis. See Pomasia vernacularia Guenée.
Taxonomic notes. Specific status is merited both on grounds of sympatry and strong
morphological differences as discussed under vernacularia.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is common in the upper montane zone to as
high as 2110m (on G. Kinabalu).
