Horisme labeculata Prout;

Diagnosis. This and the next species have ashy grey forewings, strongly fasciated
as illustrated. The two can be distinguished as indicated in the diagnosis of
the next.
Taxonomic notes. No differences between the genitalia of murudensis and labeculata
could be detected. P. deviaria Prout stat. & comb. n. (New
Guinea, ?Seram) was originally described as a subspecies of labeculata. Though
very similar in facies, it has male genitalia more typical of other New Guinea
species (no costal spur to the valve, cornuti in the aedeagus vesica and on the
anellus).
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. Most records are from upper montane forest:
1760-2110m on G. Kinabalu; 1780-2360 on G. Mulu, 1200-1500m on G. Api during the
Mulu survey; 1670m on Bukit Pagon, Brunei; and similar altitudes on G. Murud and
G. Dulit.
