Sauris quassa Prout, 1932c: 77.
Diagnosis. The forewings are fasciated extensively with grey, more olive greenish
basally. There is a conspicuous patch of the pale bone-white ground colour at
the costa just anterior to the discal mark. The margin is cleft subtornally. The
hindwings are grey, lobed, the central lobe slightly darker grey.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is only known from the holotype male,
taken at about 1600m on G. Kinabalu.
