Sauris pallidiplaga

Diagnosis.
Males (the only sex known) have lightly fasciated green forewings with a pale bone white patch at the tornus. There is extensive suffusion of greyish black over the fasciae basal to the white patch broadly along the tornus and over the anterior three-quarters of the distal margin. The hindwings are distally lobed, a more or less uniform bone colour. The Bornean male is larger, the forewings a clearer green than those from other areas.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Java; Borneo.

Habitat preference. The only Bornean specimen was taken at 1760m on G. Kinabalu.
