Diagnosis. The wings are a bone-white colour, the forewings with numerous delicate
crimson fasciae. Those in the antemedial, postmedial and submarginal positions
contain black dots or streaks on the veins.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, China, Taiwan, Burma, Borneo; Luzon (ssp.
exsanguis).
Habitat preference. The species is rare in Borneo, known only from three
specimens taken at 1930m and 2110m on G. Kinabalu.
