Diagnosis. Males have a modified, rather triangular hindwing fringed with dull
yellow scales. Both sexes have the distal border of the forewing postmedial
rather irregular, with the central lobe distinctly darker than the rest. On the
underside the fasciae are clearly defined, narrower than in other species on the
forewing, with the irregularity of the postmedial conspicuous.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is frequent on G. Kinabalu from 1500m to
1930m. A male has been taken at 1500m on the limestone G. Api.
