11m. The colour of
the wing is as in the smaller chlorochroa but the dull, dark brown
fasciation is more extensive, entire rather than punctate. The forewing has a
curved antemedial and a sinuous postmedial as illustrated, with the discal spot
weak. The hindwing postmedial is broad, straight, enclosing the discal mark,
with faint brown clouding between it and the margin. The antennae are
fasciculate (bipectinate in chlorochroa males). In the male genitalia the
uncus is hood-like, the valves elongate, expanding slightly to an obtuse angle
on the costa at two- thirds and one more distally placed on the ventral margin.
The costa protrudes as a sort of lobe beyond the flexure of the zone of setation.
The basal corema is associated with an area of carination. The aedeagus is a
very slender rod, lacking the apical fan of small spines seen in chlorochroa.
