Rhynchobapta
eburnivena Warren
Phanauta eburnivena Warren,
1896, Novit. zool. 3:147.
Nadagara albovenaria Leech,
1897, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (6), 19: 302.
Rhynchobapta eburnivena Warren;
Holloway, 1976: 78.
Diagnosis. This species could be confused with members of the genus Nadagara discussed
on (See Nadagara
Walker), but the pale edging to the postmedials, the very fine, pale
antemedials of the forewing and the pale delineation of the veins are
diagnostic.
Taxonomic notes. The Bornean specimen has an angular process on the valve costa just
short of the apex (Holloway, 1976: fig 545). This does not occur in
Himalayan and Sulawesi specimens examined.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Japan, Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference. The only Bornean specimen was taken at 1200m. That
from Sulawesi was taken at 980m (Project Wallace material).
