Parasynegia fortilineata sp. n.
Parasynegia fortilineata

17-18mm. This species resembles lineata very closely except most
fine fasciae are sharply delineated by dark brown and are thus much more
apparent. There are minor but constant differences in the male genitalia: the
juxta 'horns' are shorter, broader; the basal valve process is more irregular,
crimped and the digitate one tapers rather than being apically spatulate; the
scobination of the aedeagus vesica is restricted to the immediate vicinity of
the apical spur rather than extending half way to the cluster of spicules.
