Diagnosis. This is the smallest Bornean Krananda, with a more olivaceous
ochreous tone to the wing borders and a less hyaline basal zone that lacks
strong fasciation except for the sharply angled forewing antemedial.
Taxonomic notes. Dissection of the holotype of oliveomarginata indicates that
Herbulot had to hand another species when describing nicolasi. The
process from the valve costa in true oliveomarginata is right-angled
rather than straight as suggested by Herbulot. The identity of oliveomarginata
sensu Herbulot is unclear but D. Stüning (in litt.) suggests K.
nepalensis Yazaki.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, China, Taiwan, N. Vietnam, Thailand,
Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Herbulot recorded the species from 1200m at Kundasan,
south of G. Kinabalu. There is a series of specimens in the USNM, Washington,
from 1500m, 25km north of Tambunan, Sabah, and from 1620m at Kinabalu Park H.Q.
