Diagnosis. This is a large, pale ochreous fawn moth with a characteristic forewing
submarginal brown band, bounded between the concavities of the postmedial and
submarginal. Discal markings are weak.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, China, N. Thailand; Peninsular
Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (ssp. celaenosticta).
Habitat preference. A single male has been seen in the collection of the
Sabah Forest Research Centre, Sepilok. It was taken at Sapulut, near Keningau.
