Milionia pendleburyi
Prout; Holloway, 1976: 84.
Diagnosis. The orange band on the hindwing is submarginal, and does not extend
right to the costa, stopping at two thirds from the dorsum.
Taxonomic notes. The presence of a slight grey green iridescence within the apical black
zone of the forewing is seen also in dulitana. The two species also have
very similar female genitalia, characterised by a strongly sclerotised, bilobed
lamella antevaginalis. They are probably sister-species.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. Two females only have been taken, both from G.
Kinabalu, one at 1760m and the other at about 1600m.
Biology. The adult flies by day.
