Diagnosis. The ground colour of the upperside is fawn, with flecking and marking of
dark brown. Distinctive features are the strong marginal dark dots and also
those of the forewing costa and discal spots. There is a zone of rusty suffusion
distal to the hindwing postmedial.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Most specimens have been recorded in montane forest
from 900m to 1930m. Records are from G. Kinabalu, from G. Mulu and G. Api during
the Mulu survey, and from Bukit Retak in Brunei.
