Diagnosis. Above,
this species is pale reddish brown with a diagnostic array of clearly defined,
dark, rich brown fasciae as illustrated. On the underside the ground colour is
more yellowish orange, with the fasciae more weakly defined.
Geographical
range. Himalaya,
N. Thailand, W. China, Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi.
Habitat
preference. On
G. Kinabalu the species is frequent in the upper montane zone over an altitude
range of 1200-2110m. Two specimens taken on G. Mulu were from 1790m and one on
Bukit Retak from 1465m.
