Exeliopsis discipuncta sp. n.
Exeliopsis discipuncta

15mm. The darker discal dashes are large, prominent on both wings. In
the male genitalia the uncus is small, the gnathus apex broad, shallow. The
saccus is strong. On the valve the costal sclerotisation is narrower than the
saccular one, with a setose basal lobe and an interior ridge distally, lined
with setae and projecting beyond the apex of the valve. The distal margin of the
valve is excavate. The broad saccular sclerotised zone broadens distally to an
obliquely angular, setose terminal portion. N.E. Himalaya material (slide 16258)
may represent a race of this species or the next: the costal sclerotisation is
more regularly curved, and lined with setae over its whole length; the saccular
sclerotisation is apically squarer, interiorly falcate. The aedeagus in all
three has a slender, rod-like cornutus.
