Diagnosis.
The dark parts of the wings are pinkish grey rather than reddish, otherwise the markings are as in the next species. A fovea typical of the genus is present in the male, and the genitalia have the valve apex rounded and two bulbous cornuti and a sclerotised disc in the aedeagus vesica. In the female the basal part of the bursa is diagnostically spined, and the signum is smaller than in the other two related species.

Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra.

Habitat preference. The species is infrequent and has been taken from the lowlands to 1620m (G Kinabalu, Bukit Retak).
