Heterolocha
pyreniata Walker
Nabla pyreniata Walker, 1866, List Specimens lepid. Insects
Colln Br. Mus., 35: 1668.
Diagnosis. This is a smaller species than the next, with the forewing antemedial
interrupted into costal and subdorsal patches rather than entire. The hindwing
fascia is straighter, parallel to, or diverging from the margin as it approaches
the costa, rather than converging prior to a slight flexure basad subcostally.
The forewing discal spot is more obviously pale-centred. The apex of the
forewing has a small but conspicuously darker triangular patch.
Geographical range. Sundaland.
Habitat preference. The species is rare in Borneo, taken mostly in
lowland localities, the highest record being from 1000m on G. Matang.
