Diagnosis. No other Bornean geometrid shares the generic facies features.
Taxonomic notes. In genitalia and facies the species resembles S. seminigra Prout
(India) and S. bractearia Walker (Sri Lanka), and may be conspecific. The
type species differs in having an antemedial fascia to the hindwing and cornuti
in the aedeagus vesica.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference. The species is rare in forested localities, taken
over an altitude range of 300m to almost 2000m.
