Mimeusemia
Butler
Type
species: persimilis Butler (Japan, China).
This
genus ranges through the Indo-Australian tropics and into the Oriental
subtropics, with the major part of its diversity Oriental. There is a tendency
for the forewing to be marked with white or yellow patches, rather than bands.
The
type species feeds on Cayratia (Vitaceae) as a larva (Miyata, 1983).
Sevastopulo (1941) recorded M. basalis Walker from Dillenia (Dilleniaceae)
and Bell (MS) noted M. davidsoni Swinhoe from the same genus.
