Diagnosis.
This is the
species with the most variegated forewings particularly in the female, where
there is a long, basal pale streak extending to the equally pale, sinuous
postmedial. The wings are a rich greenish brown. In both sexes the forewing
below has a short subapical pale bar at the costa.
Taxonomic
notes. Holloway
(1976) disregarded page priority in establishing the synonymy above.
Geographical
range. Sundaland,
Sulawesi, S. Moluccas, New Guinea.
Habitat
preference. The
species is most abundant in the upper montane zone, though it is occasionally
taken at lower altitudes.
