Diagnosis.
The
forewings are pale brown, with a darker wedge arising from the costa and
dividing the reniform and orbicular. Basal to the latter is an extensive dark
brown zone bounded distally by a line running from the costa at one third to the
dorsum at two thirds. This line is crossed by a longitudinal black streak
subdorsally, running between the antemedial and postmedial.
Taxonomic
notes. This
species has in its male genitalia a similar harpe to its Bornean congener, and
an expanded peniculus.
Geographical
range. N.E.
Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. Only
one Bornean specimen has been seen; a male from G. Kinabalu with no
altitude data, collected by Waterstradt.
