15-17mm, 20mm. This
is a slightly smaller species than pilcheri, differing in the
distribution of black areas on the forewing: the subapical zone
of the costa has two triangles rather than one; the discal spot is very much
smaller, usually less than one third the area of that of pilcheri and
separated from the two adjacent costal marks; the small marginal markings are
towards the apex if present rather than centrally and tornally. The hindwings of
the male are distinctly paler over the distal half.
In the male genitalia the valve is apically more broadened, rounded, the process
at the ventral margin slender, acute rather than rounded. The aedeagus vesica is
narrower, the cornuti slightly denser.

Habitat
preference. Material
has been taken in hill dipterocarp forest in Brunei and in lower montane forest
on G. Mulu.
