Diagnosis.
See the
previous species. The postmedial boundary to the medial zone of the forewing is
diagnostically zig-zagged over its posterior half; the submarginal dark brown
zone is restricted to the central half of the wing.
Taxonomic
notes. In
facies this species is very like P. gamma Prout comb. n. from
Peninsular Malaysia, but the latter has a massively swollen uncus, expanded
peniculi, a long sickle-shaped harpe and broad, rounded valve apices.
Geographical
range. Borneo.
Habitat
preference. The species was described from three specimens taken between 1760m
and 2110m on G. Kinabalu. A further specimen was taken at 1790m in upper montane
forest on G. Mulu.
