Phlogophora

Phlogophora
sp. |
This
is a small species for which only two female specimens are available, one badly
damaged by beetles. It can be distinguished from all other Bornean taxa by size,
the straightness of the postmedial and antemedial boundaries to the forewing
medial zone, and the convergence of these fasciae at the dorsum. The dark centre
to the orbicular suggests affinities to the kinabalua group.
One
specimen was taken at 450m in the Ulu Temburong forest of Brunei, the other at
900m in lower montane forest on the limestone G. Api, Sarawak.
