Araeoptera griseata Hampson, 1907, J.

Diagnosis. The wings are narrow, a medium grey with
darker markings and black dots. The forewing antemedial is oblique, and the
discal dash is prominent. There is a series of black marks along the discal
margins, and the postmedial forms a more intense dark mark at the dorsum of the
hindwing.
Geographical range. Sri Lanka, ?Peninsular Malaysia,
?Borneo. Robinson (1975) recorded a single specimen from Fiji.
Habitat preference. The only specimens seen are three from
Pulo Laut, but these are worn, and the identification is tentative.
