Diagnosis. The ‘modern art’ pattern in the blue,
yellow and red on the white forewings is both striking and unmistakable.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Indochina, Sumatra,
Java, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species is montane, generally rare,
taken at 1618m on Bukit Retak and 1670m on Bukit Pagon in Brunei, and at 1930m
and 2600m on G. Kinabalu.
