Anuga fidoides sp. n.

Anuga fida Swinhoe; sensu Holloway, 1976: 17.

Anuga fidoides (paratype)

25-27mm, larger than fida (20-22mm). The forewings have a greenish tinge to them, lacking in fida, and usually a pale yellow (rather than whitish) tornal patch. The hindwing tornus is usually more extensively orange though this character is variable in both species; below, the dark medial fascia passes just distal to the discal dot rather than through it as in fida. In the male genitalia the aedeagus vesica does not have four larger cornuti amid the scobination but a longitudinal zone of slightly larger spines.
