Diagnosis. The forewing facies of this species is atypical of the genus, being
mauve-grey with diffuse paler banding and a pale yellowish reniform. The male
genitalia are typical however.
Geographical range. Singapore (holotype
(H.N. Ridley) only),
Borneo. There is a suspicion that some Ridley material labelled 'Singapore'
may in fact be from Borneo (Holloway 1983: 98).
Habitat preference. One Bornean specimen taken in dry heath forest (kerangas)
at Telisai in Brunei, and two further ones by Major T.P.G. Helps in mangrove at
Hutan Simpang Salirong and the Sungei Selanjak, Brunei.
