Diagnosis. The dull, brownish-red forewings with delicate pale yellow and white
subapical and mid-dorsal markings render this species unmistakable.
Geographical range. Oriental tropics to Sundaland, Philippines, Sulawesi
and New Guinea.
Habitat preference. On G. Kinabalu it was taken infrequently from 1,000-2,000m. In both Brunei and the G. Mulu National Park it has been taken
infrequently in a range of lowland forest types but also in upper montane forest
at around 1,600m (G. Mulu, Bukit Retak).
