Diagnosis. The forewings are rich brown with a distinctive pattern, the lenticular
cream-white submarginal curving round a similarly pale triangular zone basad
which is linked by a double, cream-white, oblique bar to the costa; the rich
brown basal area of the wing is enclosed by a curved, cream- white fascia.
Geographical
range. Borneo,
Sulawesi, New Guinea.
Habitat
preference. During
the Mulu survey the species was taken infrequently in lower and upper montane
forest on the transects of both G. Mulu and G. Api, with a singleton from 250m
on the lower slopes of the latter. In Brunei one specimen only has been taken,
in coastal associations at Seria.
