13-14mm. The forewing markings are much as in L. purpuribasis and L. brunnistis, but the wings are more uniform dark brown with a purple iridiscence and somewhat obscure fasciation. The species is best distinguished by the male genitalia where the curvature of the slender aedeagus, the short domed uncus and the massive, sclerotised costal process to the valve are unique within the genus.

Holotype . SARAWAK: G. Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D. Holloway et al.) Site 27, April, G. Api, 1500m, Pandanus Camp, 429451, scrub, Pandanus, act., BM noctuid slide 11416.

Paratype . SARAWAK as above, but Site 3, January, Camp 4, Mulu, 1780m, 453463, [tall upper] montane forest, MV - canopy & understorey, BM noctuid slide 11421.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. Both specimens above were taken from the upper montane forest zone.
