Geographical
range. Thailand
(VK), Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. All three Bornean specimens seen are from the lowlands: primary
forest at 60m in the Labi area and at 400m near Bedawan in the Tutong area of
Brunei; logged forest with secondary growth at 100m near the Danum Valley Field
Centre in Sabah. The species was also noted as frequent in secondary forest by
Chey (1994).
