Diomea
nigrisuffusa sp. n.
16, 17mm. This species is a similar size to lignicolora
and
eupsema,
but more of a blackish brown, with a crenate and somewhat broken, punctate
darker postmedial on all wings. This has paler highlights at its distal side on
the hindwing, whereas on the forewing the pale submarginal is separate from it,
somewhat stepped subdorsally and subcostally. The male genitalia are very
similar to those of the previous two species but have more extensive setose
ridging and lobing between the base of the saccular process and the costa; in eupsema
the
setose lobe is much smaller and between a ridge and the saccular process rather
than on the costal side of the ridge; lignicolora is similar to eupsema
but
the lobe is much longer, shallower, less clearly defined.
